Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice

Whatever you choose to review, all good book or film reviews should include:_x000D_
1) a thesis sentence, somewhere near the end of your first paragraph (or your second if your first is a very short dramatic hook), in which you clearly state your opinion of the text (text = book or film) and why you hold that opinion – note that this is not as simple as “I liked it,” but should take into account the text’s goals, the genre (for instance, a romance film will have very different genre expectations from a tragedy!), and audience (age range, any familiarity with the source material, differing cultural expectations, etc), and whether or not the text successfully meets those goals, genre expectations, and audience desires_x000D_
2) at least two fully developed paragraphs in which you discuss specific examples from the text to support your opinion
