Quantitative analysis utilizes statistical data to draw the significance between two or more variables through measures, questionnaires, and statistical modeling while qualitative analysis focuses on the non-numerical data about individuals experiences. Qualitative analysis would be more successful in determining the leading cause of Sedgwick County’s out-migration than quantitative methods is because qualitative research’s main focus is on expanding and gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences of individuals through their stories and explanations of their social setting which aids in the development of phenomena that would be developed to understand the research question (Greenberger, 2016; Mobley, Brawner, Lord, Main, & Camacho, 2019). The characteristic of qualitative research that most influenced my response to this question would be through its methodology. A narrative inquiry methodology allows any individual to explain t heir experience through telling their detailed story which would provide, in this example, why or why not the area is desirable/undesirable to habitate in and how the area can be improved if the living habitat is undesirable (Greenberger, 2016). Through interviewing multiple participants in the research study, common themes can be identified which would lead to a phenomenon being postulated of the problem and the end goal of identifying solutions to the research question. _x000D_
